Meet the Harris Family…

By now through many forms of social media I have splashed all of our faces on the Internet. But on this blog, it is only really me who has been introduced and I don’t think I did it too well.

I am Lianne, next month I will be hitting the big 3-0 which I am still undecided about how I feel about it. I am a dog lover who only owns cats, I do not have a driving license yet own a car (just call me miss daisy.) I return to work next month to my official role as a Legal Costs Negotiator in London, which I am not looking forward to the commute!

This is Ashley, or called Ash by friends and Harry by family. However, for the purpose of this blog he is commonly known as Hubby. At the ripe age of 30, he works in a Mortuary, loves all things metal and gothy but also loves musicals and Disney. Once an avid rugby player and rock climber his old body is giving out and now he struggles to bend down and get back up again mwahahahaha.

This little beauty is Harley, shop bought but the last cat there who was too cute to leave l! At four years old you will find her either in our bath or sink with her face attached to the tap waiting for water to magically escape into her mouth. Or in the morning on the kitchen worktop waiting for milk.

Leo is my first little boy, he epitomises Garfield with his looks, appetite and laziness but is also the most stupid cat ever. He needs help getting onto the window sill as he is too dumb to work out how to get up there and often falls off things by just not realising how close to the edge he is. His personality is very doglike and as he was originally a stray we don’t know his actual age but know he is roughly five.

This little heartbreaker is our first, potentially last and only child. He is the first baby in hubbys family for 21 years and boy is he spoilt! He loves all the attention and food coming his way. His obsession with pop music and dancing has not been unnoticed as has his love for photos therefore I do want to get him into tele and modelling work but of course only whilst he enjoys it.

Family facts:

  • Me and hubby met at college
  • No one thought we’d last more than three months
  • Hubby didn’t want kids or to get married
  • We want to move to Cornwall one day
  • We both get excited over our past experience of working in pubs
  • Our kitchen is our usual dance spot
  • Ben, hubby and his dad all have the same ticklish spot
  • Me and hubby moved in together less than six months after dating
  • The two cats are loving me being at home but hating Ben being in our room as they have been evicted from their bed
  • Hubby had a bad reaction to his childhood immunizations leading him to only receive one therefore we are restricted to where we travel abroad.

  1. Hi Leanne, I do enjoy reading about other bloggers. It sounds as if gender plays as big a role in the intelligence of cats as it seems to in dogs. We have five dogs and the only dozy one we have is the only male we have. We are sure he doesn’t play with a full packet!

I never wanted to get married or have children either, I too moved in with my now husband quite quickly and twenty-three years *shudder* (and you thought to reach 30 was scary!) later we are still married with two children.

I hope you get to move to Cornwall one day, it is a beautiful part of the world.

    xx

  2. Ahh I love this! I would love to move to cornwall too, I love the south coast but I think I’m too much of a home bird to ever make the move! When I met my now husband I was adamant that I didn’t want to get married (again!) and yet six months later we were engaged! #fortheloveofBLOG

  3. What a lovely insight into your family! I’m also a dog lover who hasn’t had a dog in my life for a long long time. However we did also have a cat who thought he was a dog – he’d bound up to the door when the doorbell rang, and was massively affectionate. Best of luck with your Cornwall dreams – I’d absolutely love to move to the coast one day! Thanks so much for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove

  4. What a nice introduction to your family! I love cats. We used to have 2 gorgeous Persian cats but they are not with us anymore and we miss them every day. So nice that your hubby and you met since college. Interesting what you do. One of my good friends does the same now. I’m a lawyer too but I’m not practicing anymore. Just focusing on my blog now! Thanks so much for sharing your story with us at #KCACOLS. It is lovely to have you, πŸ™‚ xx
